[productsample/affiliatelink] The first thing to say is that this collection is only available for the next two weeks. It’s been made by the brand for Seabourne cruise ships so there’s a fresh and aquatic element to both variants.
I’ve set foot on two cruise ships in my entire life – one in Germany with a brand where they (somehow) got Rihanna for a personal performance which was absolutely epic. She got her bracelet caught in her dress and had to rip her arm away but she did it so, I don’t know, perfectly – she wasn’t ruffled by it at all. The other time was in Sydney – we didn’t go anywhere… just stayed on it for a few days as a base for the Olympics. So, my experiences of cruise ships have been really good – and I do have an impression of wood panels and a real maritime feel as well as just being so surrounded by water! Samphire & Eucalyptus (available in both bath or shower and body lotion) is so clean smelling. The scent is gentle – you won’t be overpowered (which might be just as well because I’ve never felt driven to smell of samphire) and I wasn’t surprised to find that there are notes of mint in this because when I first smelled it I thought I could identify that. There’s a definite sense of ‘marine’ to this fragrance.
Hands up that I haven’t tested either of these yet but I will. The scent is refreshing and herbal without being medicinal – in fact, it’s a perfect ‘clean hair’ smell. These are slightly stronger to my nose than the bath and body fragrances but once you know they’re connected to water, you can really smell the aquatic effect. Everything about these says ‘holiday’ to me – after a day in the sun these are exactly what you’d want to revive yourself with before slipping off for a sunset cocktail. They’re much more special than I was expecting them to be.
The Shower Gel is £22, the Body Lotion, £26, the Shampoo £18 and the Conditioner £18. You can find everything HERE non affiliate HERE.
